Teresa Ley 2023, RN

I was in for gallbladder surgery this year.  Teresa was my pre-op nurse.  I had cancer in my gallbladder that I found out about after they removed it.  A week ago I was in for a colposcopy procedure and Teresa was again my pre-op nurse.  We were going over my medical history and got to cancer in my gallbladder.  We started talking about that day of having my gallbladder removed and she remembered being my nurse.  I told her everything I had been through (more surgery) and now doing chemotherapy.  It's been such a tough road for me.  I'm a widow of 2 years now, and she held my hand and prayed for me and then kissed my forehead.  I'll always remember the love and care she showed for me that day, someone she barely knows.  It was such a comfort.  Definitely a compassionate nurse.  I left like I was more than just a patient.
