I felt compelled to address the work performance of one of your nurses in the Emergency Department, Nurse Teresa Marifian. To give some background, I am a Field Training Officer and I provide ambulance services to the Los Angeles County Fire Department and other departments. Your hospital is one of the many hospitals we transport our patients to on a regular basis.

Nurse Marifian is always welcoming and is without a doubt one of the best nurses we get to interact with. I speak on behalf of many other EMTs when I say she is a true professional when we bring patients to your hospital. She is always patient with my trainees and she treats our patients with the utmost respect. She continually goes out of her way to get our patients triaged quickly and puts our ambulance crews back in service as soon as possible. I know this sounds like something every nurse should do, but it has been a struggle lately with many healthcare providers being burned out from the COVID pandemic.

I am a firm believer that people need to be recognized for their hard work. Nurse Marifian reflects a professional image and great credit upon your hospital and we are always happy to work with her. This is the first time in my EMS career that I've felt the need to recognize any nurse I've ever worked with. Although I cannot speak on behalf of our company, please let it be known that I speak as an individual and on behalf of many EMTs who have expressed the same sentiment.
