Teresa is a phenomenal nurse. She is a patient and nurse advocate. She stays calm in very stressful situations and keeps the staff calm as well. For example today we had a patient who was very sick. Hearing about his situation, Teresa stopped what she was doing and said: "Well, let's RRT him." She took her time and helped keep the family calm. Teresa also always makes sure to return to the unit after an RRT and Code Blue to debrief with the staff. She is always sure to tell the staff what they did well and what could have been done better, but she does it in a way that helps the nurse learn and also doesn't make the nurse feel like she did anything wrong. These are only two examples of the amazing care Teresa gives every shift she works. She goes above and beyond to take care of the patients and the staff!
