Teresa really took the time to care for our family member. He had been feeling overwhelmed and she took the time to stay with him and talk him through his anxiety. She taught him about guided imagery and other adjunct techniques to help him get more relaxed and comfortable.
Another way Teresa provided excellent patient care was by helping get him up and moving. She has been courteous and caring in her deliverance of excellent patient care. She advocated for him to the surgeon taking care of him regarding the look of his stoma and explained that he will get the hang of taking care of it. He didn't feel ignored; he felt like he was being heard and that she truly cared about helping him achieve his pain goal and lower his anxiety and ease him through his panic attack.
St. Rita's is a better hospital because Teresa is a nurse here and our family member will recover faster because of the awesome care she took the time to provide.
