Teresa cared for a patient in the PICU that was in the process of being declared brain dead. When I asked Theresa about her day, she told me about the time she spent with this patient’s mother. How they shut the door, bathed and braided her daughter's hair, and just talked as two moms. Providing comfort to this mom was the “favorite part“ of her day and a reminder of why Teresa is a special nurse.
