Teresa helps our patients prepare for surgery and advocates for them by coordinating with multidisciplinary care providers who need to be involved in their care. She gets along well with the children and knows them well because she genuinely cares about them and takes an interest in becoming involved with their care in a very positive, supportive, and caring manner. She often fills in as needed when there is a staff shortage and makes sure that the children's surgeries don't get delayed. Teresa goes above and beyond in her care for the kids and their families because she is truly committed their well-being. Many times she is the first one to discover that families are experiencing problems because she makes families feel supported and they trust her enough to confide in her! She is an integral part of the pre-op and the outpatient departments here at Shriners Hospitals for Children.
