I am honored to nominate Terri Cooke, RN, for recognition of her outstanding service and exceptional care at The Bariatric Center of Kansas City. As my pre-operative nurse, Terri demonstrated a level of professionalism, compassion, and dedication that went above and beyond my expectations. From the moment I arrived for my pre-op appointment, Terri made me feel comfortable and at ease. Her warm and welcoming demeanor immediately alleviated any anxieties I had about the upcoming procedure. She took the time to thoroughly explain each step of the pre-operative process, ensuring that I understood what to expect and answering all of my questions with patience and clarity.

Terri's expertise and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of her care. She meticulously reviewed my medical history and took all necessary precautions to ensure my safety and well-being. Her ability to anticipate my needs and address any concerns before they arose was truly remarkable.

One particular aspect of Terri's care that stood out to me was her skill in administering the IV. For me, it is notoriously difficult to find veins for an IV, which typically adds a significant amount of stress to my medical experiences. Terri, however, managed to insert the IV on her first attempt, a feat that left me immensely relieved. Her proficiency in this regard took away a significant source of my stress, allowing me to relax and feel more comfortable with the procedure. What sets Terri apart is her genuine compassion and empathy. She treated me not just as a patient but as an individual, taking the time to listen to my concerns and provide emotional support. Her kindness and encouragement were incredibly reassuring, and I felt confident knowing that I was in such capable and caring hands.

Terri's commitment to her patients and her profession is truly inspiring. She embodies the qualities of an exemplary nurse and serves as a role model for her colleagues.
