Terri Thompson - You will always be known to me as 'My Angel sent from Heaven'—the Hospice Nurse, who went way above and beyond her call of duties.
I am profoundly grateful to all that you have done—the good care you have given to my late husband and the comforting words and reassurances to me. No amount of 'Thank You' will ever be enough to show my gratitude. I simply cannot fathom what would or could have happened on that Friday, at 6:30 pm, were you not sent to me as 'My Angel'.
'I am just here to lend a hand' and 'I am honored and privileged to be able to help…etc.' are some of your humble responses, to deflect any praise and credit that you so deserved.
Terri, your selfless deeds that you have given me, the humility and humanity that you have shown me; have inspired me to seriously considering taking up volunteer work with Lutheran Hospice, sometime in the future, at the right time [when my dust settles down], as my way to say 'Thank you, my Angel, from the bottom of my heart'.
