Teresa honored for being a dedicated and compassionate nurse whose caring nature does not stop at the end of her shift. Teresa had a patient who was diagnosed with cancer and receiving radiation. Appearing tired and in pain, Teresa offered to help the woman in every way she could, from crushing up her medicine and administering it with a syringe to sooth her mouth sores, to comforting the patient's daughters in their time of need. The patient asked for hospice and Teresa made it possible within the hour.
A few days later, Teresa found out the patient had passed and attended her celebration of life. The patient's daughters referred to Teresa as their "angel" for embracing and helping their family in so many ways.
