My wife was recently diagnosed with cancer. She had to be admitted to receive her 1st cycle of chemo. The emotions, nerves, and worry were off the charts. On Sunday, she was blessed to have a night shift nurse that doesn’t normally work Weaver 7 we found out, but she was sent here this night to watch over and help my wife. Although I personally only spent about an hour with Teressa due to visiting hours, I knew my wife was found to be in great hands when I left.
When she first came into my wife’s room, she took the time to talk to her and get to know her. Throughout the night she was the most attentive and caring nurse my wife said she ever had. My wife didn’t even need her nightly anti-anxiety medication this night because if Teressa’s compassion and care. My wife had a really bad night of nausea and vomiting. Teressa was there to comfort and assist her in any matter, as well as to administer the meds her doctor ordered to help her symptoms. Teressa exemplifies the role model behavior of what all nurses should aspire to be.
