As I was making rounds on the CLC, a family stopped me to tell me Teri was "a wonderful nurse" and that they were so happy to have a RN like that helping their father/husband during their family's difficult time of saying goodbye to him. Although it was a touching and difficult time for the family, they acknowledged, thanked and were even in awe of the comfort they saw Teri give their dad/husband. Teri gave gentle, compassionate, competent care to the Hospice resident and included the family in her care environment. Her care will help the family remember the veteran's last days as a way to say a respectful and dignified goodbye. The family said "thank you for having Teri as a nurse for us" and I want to say thank you to Teri on behalf of the family and the hospice CLC.
