During my sister’s recent stay in the ICU, Terrance Davis was a nurse that exceeded our family’s needs and expectations. He was proactive in caring for her medical needs as well as her family's. He was patient as he explained the extensive care she needed for her advanced sepsis. Even following doctor visits and explanations, Terry made himself available to us fully for any further questions we had. Every time a medicine bag was changed, or a moving of her body, he lovingly explained to our sedated sister all that he was doing, never forgetting her humanity. His communication skills were outstanding. He kept us updated on all interactions as well as services that were available to us and her through the hospital. When her end came near, he made arrangements to have refreshments brought in so that we didn’t have to leave her side. It was a vulnerable time for our family. Terry observed each of us and met us where we were. He had such an impact on all of us and we know that he made our sisters' passing more endurable. We remain impressed with all that nursing staff that we encountered at Kaiser Fontana Medical Center. Terry is one that we will never forget.

Terry was so kind and helpful to our sister while taking care of her in the ICU. He also showed amazing patience and kindness to the very large family we have. Our family had to make a difficult decision to stop all treatment and Terry was right there for us. Our sister's care and comfort was always a top priority to him. We are so thankful he was our nurse; he should be recognized as one of the best.

Terry is a remarkable nurse, and he exemplifies the values of Kaiser Permanente Nursing. He provides excellent care, with integrity and compassion; he is a team player, extremely professional, and keeps the patient and family at the center of everything that he does. Terry truly is an extraordinary nurse.
