Terri Bugniazet 2, BSN, RN, CEN, CPEN

Terri was in charge and noticed that there were a lot of sheriff’s department cars lined up outside of the ambulance bay. She recognized that there was a young male who was being discharged home from the ICU to hospice who was a member of the sheriff’s department. She reached out to the staff working in the emergency department and facilitated the staff to line the halls for this 49-year-old man so that he would not be leaving the hospital alone. The patient was so appreciative of this and it really meant a lot to him and his family. It was a truly emotional time and was a great effort of support.
