There is that one light that shines brighter than all the others, like a shining star sent from the Heavens above, and by the grace of God, we got one. From the time of his first treatment, Terri was always there with her support, her love and her positive attitude to help with all of our son's needs. She followed up with him in between treatments, checking to see if he or his family needed anything. She was there to answer all of our questions and help us to understand what was going on and what to expect. Even when we left MCC to go to MD Anderson in Houston, Terri would call and send cards and care packages for him. That let us know how concerned and caring she was. Her compassion was so overwhelming.
It takes a special person to be a nurse; it takes an angel to cope with what she deals with every day. In our book, she is both. We are grateful to have someone in our life at this time to help our son (and us). She became more than a nurse at the cancer center ... she became our friend for life!
