Terri Day, BSN, RN, CCRN

Terri honestly is one of the best leaders I have ever had the pleasure of working with. It never fails that something out of the ordinary will happen on nightshift, and Terri is always there with a plan. She employs fantastic communication skills with all team members so that we can work together to keep the hospital running smoothly, even in the face of difficult situations. Terri is the kind of leader who will not ask you to do something that she would not do herself. So much so, that she has on more than one occasion, helped clean inpatient rooms so that patients could be moved out of the ED holding faster. This benefits not only the efficiency of our ED, but also the patients in need of inpatient care. She is an amazing resource for the bedside nurses who work alongside her, both for nursing skills and policy. She also provides a listening ear for career or personal advancement. I know that if I am working on a shift with Terri in charge, that I will have the resources and support to do my job safely and effectively. In addition to the skill and expertise she brings to her work, she also brings a confident and competent presence. Terri truly is our fearless leader on nightshift, and we are so lucky to have her. She deserves all the recognition that she often does not receive.
