My dad was recently going from comfort care to Hospice care. Griffin's great visitation policy allowed me to stay with my dad the entire time, sleeping, eating, and showering. Strong to the end, my dad survived about a week and I spent the entire time by his side which brought great comfort to not only me but my family as we did not want him to pass alone.
Terri Ryan showed such compassion towards my dad and to my family and was a great listener and a great shoulder to cry on. She spoke a Czech word to him and he turned his head toward her; even though he was unresponsive this cemented my belief that hearing is such a strong sense to the in-between worlds of life and death. It takes a special person to aid the patient and the family through this process of not healing and making their final days filled with comfort. I will treasure her kindness and compassion.
