Terri has a way of creating an environment of calm. She is always there when you need her. As a nurse she is supportive, you can count on her, and you never see her sweat even with the sickest of patients. She handles stress productively and is able to redirect chaos to productivity. When you call her she answers the call when you need her and always responds quickly to your needs. She is calm and always willing to help out while maintaining a positive attitude.
Recently, I was working as a nurse in the Emergency Department, and Terri Paul was the charge nurse. I had a patient who was an end of life care patient, who was actively decompensating. The story with this patient was that his wife was just admitted to the floor the previous day with the flu. This patient had everyone at bedside except for his wife, and they were about to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Terri went out of her way to call the floor and see if the patient's wife could come and be at bedside with him. Terri consistently was in contact with the coordinator and was ultimately able to get the patient in the room with his wife so they could be together. This type of behavior exemplifies the Christiana Care way.
