I had Dr. Schmitt for the Nursing Informatics class. Beginning the class, I was unsure of the nursing informatics role, but Dr. Schmitt presented the material in a manner in which the topic became clear. Dr. Schmitt's discussion questions and contributions were developed well and she inspired the class to explore, investigate, and research each question. Dr. Schmitt provided useful positive and constructive feedback. Her enthusiasm for nursing, teaching, and the profession was very evident. The assignments created a positive learning enviornment. Through the discussions, Dr. Schmitt demonstrated respect, patience, caring, and ignited excitement with her follow-up questions and comments. I feel so much more confident with nursing informatics and it was a useful 8 weeks. This was the third MSN class I have taken at Chamberlain. Dr. Schmitt represented the school in a positive and professional manner and created an excitement for me to continue.
