I have worked with this ED charge nurse for over nine years. She is one of the most hard-working nurses I have ever worked with. She is very approachable for new staff to ask questions.

On top of managing flow and taking her own patients while Charge, she does not hesitate to start lines, medicate, and help other staff accomplish their tasks.

Patients recognize her excellent care all the time, but because, as charge, she is not assigned to the patient, she never gets the praise she deserves.

While Covid was in full swing and we were incredibly short-staffed, she would come in to cover night Charge shifts and then continue into her morning shifts regularly. She deserves this award.
