Terry McShane was my nightshift preceptor in the Neonatal ICU. She was very patient with me, and always open to my questions. She has been a great resource person, and an awesome team leader. Each one of our fellow staff members would say the same. Her experience and knowledge is of tremendous benefit to all in the NICU- staff, infants, and families.
Terry puts the needs of our tiny infants' first and foremost. She is a true advocate for their needs. She is loving and kind to the parents and goes the extra step to accommodate their needs as she invites them to participate with the team in caring for their infants, and shows them how they can assist and teaches them how to give care.
Whenever her colleagues need help, she is always there and ready to assist. Whenever she works she is cheerful with a warm and positive spirit.
