Terry Morefield, an experienced ED registered nurse was alerted by security while in triage. An active birth was taking place in the ED entrance! Terry independently called for additional help asking for staff support and towels and blankets. With very limited time, Terry delivered the newborn while Mom was still in her personal operating vehicle, then the team of techs and RNs were directed to transport Mom and newborn to Nursery and L & D where they safely transitioned and recovered. This was Terry's first delivery during her tenure at Maryview Medical Center.
