When Terry walked through the waiting room, one of her patients came up and hugged her. The patient stated: "Thank you for saving my life. Because of what you taught me, I was able to get away from an abusive situation. I did just what you said. I packed a bag with some clothes, had all the important numbers I needed including my insurance cards and escaped from my husband who attacked me while I was sleeping. He hit me in the face with a ball bat and broke my teeth. I had to have stitches in my forehead and chin. While I ran for my life, he ran over me twice with the truck when I was trying to escape. I thank you every day for saving my life".
