I had the most beautiful experience thanks to Taryn. From the start she was incredibly warm, calming and compassionate. As my pain intensified, she became a partner alongside my husband to get me through my contractions. I opted for an epidural, and it was extremely hard having to breathe through the pain of really intense contractions and hold still for the epidural to be properly placed. I will never forget looking at her and telling her "I hurt". Her response was simple and honest - she said "I know", but the way she said it let me know she totally got it and I felt so loved and cared for even though there was nothing she could do to alleviate the pain that I was feeling in that moment.
I truly felt like she was with me the entire time during such a momentous occasion and it was as if I was her only patient on a night that I know the Labor & Delivery ward was almost at capacity. She is amazing and totally deserving of this award!
