Tessa Heath, BSN, RN

I am 16 years old and had my son early due to preeclampsia.  He was in the NICU, and I was on an IV medication and could not be left alone in the NICU while I was on it.  Tessa took me to the NICU and stayed with me any time I wanted to see my son.  She explained why I needed the medication and how important it was to be on it for my safety.  She also taught me what signs to look for when I left the hospital and I'm glad she did because I had to go back for high blood pressure and a headache.  My boyfriend and I were so thankful to have her as our nurse because she was very kind to us and shared her story about being a young mom.  She even brought us a gift with some preemie clothing for our son because we didn't have any preemie clothes for him.  I am glad I got to have her as my nurse for two days while I was in the hospital, and I just want her to know how much of a difference she made in my scary experience.
