She was absolutely amazing to me. I apologized many times for different things, and she just kept saying, "Don’t apologize for anything, you’re in pain, I understand." She let me make my own decisions regarding my labor and never judged any of them. She held my hand when she could tell I needed someone to. My grandmother was late and missed the birth by minutes but Tessa was there every step of the way. I could tell she was a newer nurse, but the most amazing nurse I’ve ever received care from. She made me feel safe and cared for. She made sure to let me know how strong I was, that I could do this! I had trouble with my epidural, and she made sure it was taken care of. Also, while getting the epidural, she talked me through it completely and made me feel less afraid. I am tearing up writing this because words can’t describe how caring and pure her heart is. She is the definition of an exceptional nurse, and she deserves more than any thanks I could ever give her.
