Teya exemplifies a person who has a true calling to nursing; she performed her professional duties with grace and dignity. She was knowledgeable and explained everything to me, giving me choices where appropriate in participating in my health care. I felt I was in good hands in her care in the Cardiac Unit. It was her personality that set her apart, she was friendly, supportive, encouraging, and a real cheerleader during my recovery. She truly lifted my spirits each time she entered my room. I enjoyed talking with her as she ministered to my needs. Words can't express what a lovely young lady she is, as well as being a true nurse with a loving caring touch. I would be proud to call her my daughter, she was great. She truly deserves this award and public recognition as an outstanding nurse.
