I was in a rapid response with Thalia that turned into a code blue. The family was primarily Spanish speaking and was frantic when they saw their loved one declining. Thalia was very calm in the situation and explained to the family what was occurring. She reassured them that we were doing everything we could to keep them alive. Her quick response and attention to detail assisted the patient in becoming responsive again! We quickly took the patient to the ICU and the family was very appreciative of Thalia. She gave the utmost dignity in this dire situation. She has a special heart for VHC as well as her patients.
