My husband and my first baby made his debut 23 days early, and with that came all the predictable preemie issues. He had to go through so many blood sugar sticks, TSB blood draws, phototherapy, hearing screens, DHM supplementation, some temperature irregularity, and a total 4-day postpartum stay. As a first-time mom dealing with postpartum pains, soreness, tiredness, and hormonal changes, this entire postpartum experience was a lot. 

Thao LeTran was one of my NOC nurses, and she made my experience a million times better. She treated me like a patient/first-time mom who just needed some guidance, sleep, and a little TLC. She went above and beyond, washing pump parts for me in the middle of the night, sneaking in a quick diaper change, and giving me a ton of lactation support and advice. She did not treat me like a nurse (which I am); she treated me with kindness, a ton of support, and encouragement. She listened to our concerns, etc. I felt so heard with Thao. We appreciate her so much and wouldn't have gotten through the stay without her. Thank you, Thao.
