Having such a close call with our mom, bringing her in by ambulance for one thing, but having to have the ER shock her heart back into rhythm, it was scary for us to be in CCU. Theo came in and was assigned our room as the night nurse. He was great with her throughout the night, answering our questions and following up quickly. (for example: when we asked him about the "gadget" that helps her breathe so her lungs stay clear.) But what impressed us the most was the handoff to the day shift. He was so detailed in going over her case history, the son and daughter who were present said they learned more from him than anyone who had previously been in her room. He is a great nurse, with the best bedside manner and a great teacher/mentor for other nurses.
