Theresa was always compassionate during my stay and took such great care of me throughout back-to-back days. When I felt frustrated as a patient, she listened and helped ease my pain by being on top of my medications and checking on me. Her integrity was present in the way she always communicated with me and my mom and explained things for me at times when I felt confused or out of the loop of my doctor's care. She had the courage to ask questions and communicate, but most importantly, advocate for me during times I didn’t know what to do or didn’t know who to ask the right questions of. She clearly communicated with my doctors and other nurses to help them care for me and be in the loop as well. What was a scary and stressful situation was instantly uplifted by her presence. I felt relieved each time I knew she was going to be in charge of taking care of me because I knew I was always in good hands. She genuinely cares for her patients and does her job with grace, poise, and so much joy that it helps radiate to others. Seeing her smile and laugh with me helped during the most difficult time for me yet. We need more people in this world who care like Theresa.
