Theresa Cockhill, MSN, RN

Theresa works to develop relationships with her patients. She recently became aware of a pediatric cancer patient who receives very frequent radiation treatments. Theresa goes above and beyond to ensure that this pedi patient has the best experience. Some of the things Theresa does is: Ensure the patient goes to the same room every time. She arrives early to ensure the room is warm and comfortable. She even leaves little gifts on the bed. She recently left a princess dress-up set. She spends time supporting and listening to the family. Theresa's compassion and thoughtfulness are awe-inspiring. Compassion is much more than ordinary kindness. Theresa has truly gone above and beyond to provide one of our smallest patients with the best experience. In a world where health care is increasingly ruled by tasks and turnaround times, the compassion of an RN is every bit as important to patient outcomes as pills and procedures.
