My sister was 37 weeks gestation upon entering the Birth Center and her blood pressure was 170/105 and she was very scared of potential complications for her and her baby. Theresa greeted us at the door and took us straight to triage. She was calm and explained everything she was doing and what the equipment was for. Theresa displayed her expertise by assisting my sister to her side in the hopes to decrease her pressure. My sister and I felt relieved to see this therapeutic technique and critical thinking of our nurse was working. As an FNP with over 7 years of critical care experience, I cannot express how thankful I am to have nurses like Theresa in our profession. She truly made my sister feel safe during a very stressful time.
