I met Theresa through a recommendation of a nurse at the Hendrick Center. I am a breast cancer survivor of 9 years. My A1-C sky rocketed to 12.11. Upon meeting Theresa once a week and having phone calls, she has helped me get my A1-C from 12.11 to 6.3 in a three-month period. She allowed me to talk about my cancer and my anxiety, and spiritually uplifted me. Even when Theresa was out, they would connect with me. Together with their expertise, they put me out a diet. I would tell them my likes, they would critique my likes, but at the same taken tell me what was best for me. Along with my diet, walking and taking my medications properly and checking my blood sugars (3 to 4 times a day). My primary doctor in Norfolk could not believe this, but sometimes you just need that extra push. God bless Theresa, and I am still on my journey.
