My mother passed away. It was a sudden event; my mother had suffered a Cardiac Event/attack due to insufficient oxygen to the brain which caused a mini-stroke. Theresa was the nurse who took care of my mother each of those days. She was so compassionate, caring and what I loved most is she always talked to my mother as if she was awake. She talked to me not down at me, and most importantly she took what I had to say seriously. She renewed my faith in hospital. When it came time to disconnect my mother from life support she actually sat with me to make sure I was going to be ok. She talked to me; she offered to get me fluids to keep hydrated. She truly is an exceptional nurse. Please, with all my heart, recognize her for her compassion and knowledge. She answered all my questions and if she didn't know she found someone who did.
