"My mom came to Adams Memorial Hospital for a Lap Chole procedure and from the start she was welcomed with lots of smiles from the nurse's station. Once we were in her pre-op room, Theresa introduced us as her pre-op nurse. Theresa is a spectacular reflection on the facility.
She talked my mom through every step, explained what she was doing, was going to do, and each medication she was giving and what it was for. She was not only professional but also talked and joked about light hearted things, which helped ease my mom's nervousness prior to surgery.
I would definitely say that Theresa went above and beyond with her skills, kindness, and compassion. She even put my mom's IV in with 1 stick, which is not always possible. The heart and care she showed to my mom is why she is so deserving of this award. Thank you, Theresa Ashley!"
