My RN for the day was Theresa. She greeted me with her million-dollar smile. We spoke for a while, and I shared with her about my pain medication distribution. Being only a few days out of my open heart surgery, I was in constant pain, and I mentioned to her that I would often have a 4-hour window with no pain medication. She immediately went to work on completing a plan that she quickly implemented and is working perfectly for me. What was more impressive than anything else was that she was never rushed or in a hurry to finish any med calls or issues I had during her visitations with me. Not only with med calls, but she often would speak “life” to me when I was down. My surgery put me on an emotional roller coaster, so I was always seeking a little positive reinforcement statements. She was, and is still, on time with great things to me to ease my hurts. Her professionalism and kind-hearted attitude make her a role model for others to follow. Thank you so much.
