Theresa Nguyen, RN
I was admitted to Southern Ocean Medical Center with gall bladder problems. Found out I was having a heart attack and wasn’t aware of it. It was at this time I met Theresa. Theresa has become much more than a nurse to me. She is a caring, loving person who will always go out of her way for her patients. She is always there with a smile when you need one.
I shared my tragic story, of losing my only son in the Iraq war with her. Most people would just say, “I’m so sorry to hear that”, but Theresa held my hand and shed tears with me. I will never forget that.
When I left the hospital, I thought we would never see each other again. Unfortunately, I have been back to the hospital twice since then and have had the good luck of my friend Theresa being my nurse. This time, I am going to try her grandmother’s tea. She was cast from a special bronze with a heart of gold. She is my friend Theresa.
