My wound and ostomy nurse Theresa Pineda has provided such exceptional care to me for this entire calendar year. She’s an expert in wound and ostomy care, having to change the type of protocol for my wound dressing, adhesive, pouch size, stoma changes. She provided support when I had an infection, leakage and severe neutropenia causing my wound to act crazy. She's not just amazing at her expertise, she is also kind, funny and understands me and my caretaker/husband. She encouraged me emotionally when I had such a hard time accepting the changes to my body and the accessories that came with it post-surgery last year. We have so many inside jokes and I will miss her when I graduate and get discharged from her clinic. I have been blessed to have seen her almost every single week for a year because she has provided such thorough care for my well-being.
