Recently, Theresa cared for Mr. T.  He entered our facility after a motor vehicle accident.  After a few weeks, his family came to the difficult decision to withdraw life supportive measures.  They requested that it be done on Memorial day as he was a war veteran and had previously expressed to his family that he would like to pass on a war holiday. Theresa comforted his wife and family during the difficult process.  After he passed, the family was very thankful for her care, compassion and attention to all of their needs.  The family left for home.  What they did not get to witness is how she continued to honor this gentleman.  Prior to his departure from our unit, she played Taps on her phone and had several staff members honor him. She went out of her way to acknowledge his service to our country and gave him a dignified and honorable discharge from our unit.    

It is a pleasure to work beside her.
