Terry is the embodiment of what it means to put the patient first.
My wife and I have been through a lot over the past year. Unfortunately, we have learned what it is like to be on the other side of the bed receiving care instead of giving it. As you can imagine, being a healthcare professional, this is very difficult. Everyone we have encountered at OMC-Hancock has been amazing. Although, one person shines above the rest.
This person has been with us from the beginning. She held our hands and laughed and cried with us. She without fail stops me in the hall to ask about how my wife is doing every time she sees me. Most recently my wife had to have a procedure to alleviate some of the discomfort she was having. We have had to have this done multiple times in the past, always with this nurse accompanying us. This time there was not a radiologist available to do the procedure at Hancock, no availability to do it in Covington, and no nurse in Slidell.
Terry got in her car and drove to Slidell just so my wife could have the procedure. She would have had to wait the entire weekend in discomfort if she had not done this kind act. Terry is the embodiment of what it means to put the patient first. We could never show enough gratitude for this selfless act. Terry, we love you, and thank you so much for all you do, not only for us but for all of your patients.
