Dr. Winton truly transformed my first semester of nursing school. She helped facilitate the entire Foundations of Nursing lab and she ran my particular lab section. She had three 4 hour lab sections in a row each week and did not fail to fully explain each lab skill thoroughly. Her demeanor in educating my classmates and me helped me feel confident in the skills I was learning. She was vital in planning our fall semester check offs and communicating to all students what was expected of us. In communicating the faculty's expectations, I was able to take away what was most important in those patient scenarios to truly learn the content. It always felt as though Dr. Winton went the extra mile in communicating with her students to make sure we were retaining the skills we were learned all semester.
