This nurse was my Mom’s nurse the first weekend she was in the hospital. From first meeting her, she made extra efforts to keep us informed of my Mom’s care and involve us in decision making. She stayed late after her shift, discussing my Mom’s care and addressing concerns we had with her condition. This nurse went above and beyond, advocating for us to be able to be with my Mom. Even when she did not have my Mom as a patient, she made herself available to us for any needs we had. She was very caring and just a wonderful nurse during this difficult time.
