Therese Griffin, BSN, RN

I would like to especially single out a nurse that I have never met in person, only over the phone. After knee replacement surgery, Therese Griffin was the nurse who responded to my phone requests and queries about medication management/adjustments, wound care, and the overall progress of my healing. Every time I talked with her, she demonstrated great empathy, patience, kindness, problem solving skills, and sizable knowledge base. Recovery can be a long and sometimes difficult process, often punctuated by fear and uncertainty. Therese helped me immensely by always asking informed questions that helped identify the problem, spot-on suggestions, and lucid explanations. After careful questioning, she helped me locate additional resources and medications I needed. She made me feel included in informed decision-making, listened to, and validated during a very stressful and physically uncomfortable time. To me, this is the ideal aspirational standard of patient care. I never felt rushed when talking to her and she always followed up in a most timely manner. Therese is a singular shining asset to the Orthopedic team, and I feel grateful to have benefited under her care.
