My husband T came to the Radiation Department. We met many different people on our team. All of them were wonderful, but Therese was exceptional. T would come from radiation every day and every Wednesday we would meet with Therese. She was always so happy when we met her. She always had a smile for T, and she made us feel so important. We never felt rushed.
When he would be waiting for radiation during the week, if Therese saw him, she would stop and talk to him. She had a great demeanor and a perfect sense of humor. Every time we left her, T would say, "I really like her!" It is hard to describe; she didn't "do" anything extraordinary, she just WAS extraordinary to us. We want to thank her for all she did. Her care, compassion, and interest did not go unnoticed. It meant the world to us. Truly a DAISY Nurse.
