October 2024 Honoree
Theza Fitzpatrick, MSN, RN, CNOR
One of the patient's family members (her husband) was lost in the Periop area. Theza noticed the husband and redirected him. He wanted to go to the cafeteria while he waited for his wife. Theza gave him a VIP escort to the cafeteria by walking him from the second floor to the cafeteria. The husband said that Theza made his day and meant a lot because he was nervous about his wife's surgery. He said he had been here since 6 am, and he loved his wife a lot. Theza ensured that he was in excellent care if he needed anything. Please let her know. Small acts of kindness, consideration, and care can go a long way. Nurses' experience and expression of love for patients and others as the benevolent affection of one human person for another flows through nurses' inner awareness of their sharing in the infused love of Infinite Transcendent Reality in life processes.
Thank you, Theza, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
