Thien Hoang 2, RN

I spent 2 nights in the Transplant Unit following a donor nephrectomy. The staff who worked with me were all absolutely top-notch, and yet my daytime nurse TN (Thien H) still stood out as an incredible model of excellence and humanity. TN actually managed to make my hospital stay enjoyable, graciously blending his deep expertise and experience in the Transplant Unit with his personal compassion and upbeat friendliness. I know TN was tending to many patients, yet when he was with me, he treated me like he had all the time in the world, and I really mattered. He listened to me, offered information, advice, and cheer, helped me take my first walk around the unit, and accompanied me to visit my family member on the other side of the floor, who was recovering from his transplant. TN clearly loves what he does, and it was a real delight and privilege to be in his care. Thank you for creating such a supportive healing environment for patients like me and for having and supporting such an amazing professional and human as TN!
