During Thomas’s time in the nursing program, he has had a strong affinity for service and leadership. He has served on the SNA since his second semester; first as a committee member, then as chair of fundraising and events. Thomas is reliable, compassionate, respectful, professional, and has excellent communication skills; qualities that allow him to shine as our current student president. Thomas has exhibited excellent leadership skills this semester and has been a strong advocate for the students.

In addition, he has served as a student representative on the Full Faculty Council providing valuable insight at our monthly meetings. In addition to serving as a peer mentor to our first-semester students, Thomas also showed his innovative qualities by taking the lead on our most recent professional development event, Nursing Career Exploration Day. Thanks to Thomas’s commitment, this inaugural event proved to be a success. Congratulations Thomas on receiving the DAISY Award!
