Thomas helped a patient who had heart issues feel at peace and gave them a sense of ease and relaxation. “He took time to explain to me what was happening to me, explaining to me in detail what was going on,” the nomination read. “He collaborated with me on my health issues and communicated with my family when I couldn’t do it myself.”

The patient shared that Thomas was very supportive and provided a safe healing environment in a stressful, uncertain time.

“I felt a sense of peace and was able to go to sleep. … He showed me he loves his job and he loves his patients.”
