Thomas is one of the most compassionate nurses that I have ever met. He goes above and beyond every shift to make sure that the needs of his patients and their families are met. The most recent situation, which has prompted me to fill out this form, makes me want to aspire to be a nurse as caring as Thomas. He was caring for a young patient with a terminal illness and to my understanding, the patient did not have much time left. Thomas went downstairs to the cafeteria to get the patient dinner during the night shift and paid for it all out of pocket. The look of joy on the patient's face was priceless. It gave them so much happiness and hope. Thomas performs countless selfless tasks such as this, on a regular basis.
