My father was admitted to the hospital for what would be his end of life. As you can imagine, this time was very difficult for our family.
One evening, we were assigned Thomas Mathis for our nurse. This day was especially trying as my father had a procedure that morning. I remember when Dr. W made his evening rounds, Thomas was full of questions about medications and evening care. Once Dr. W had consulted with Thomas, Dr. W came back into the room and told me we had a great nurse. I cannot explain how calming that comment was for me. Thank you to Thomas, for paying extra attention to the details to ensure the best care delivery possible.
